Privacy Policy
1. Who we are
North Coffee Roasters ("we") provides coffee roaster control software and this website (fukaitong.cn). Contact for any privacy request: service@fukaitong.cn, or post in the forum.
2. What we collect
- Account: username, password (stored only as a salted PBKDF2-SHA256 hash — we cannot read it), optional email/phone/real name you choose to fill in, account status.
- Device & licence: a device identifier generated by the app, platform, bind time, last login time, and licence/activation records used to enforce your subscription.
- Roast data you create: roast curves, profiles, bean/charge weights and related notes that you choose to upload or sync.
- Community content: forum topics, replies, reports and your public display name.
- Technical logs: IP address, request time, URL, response status and user agent, kept for security and troubleshooting.
3. Why we use it
- To sign you in, bind your device and validate your licence;
- To store and sync the roast data you upload;
- To operate the forum (posting, moderation, anti-spam);
- To keep the service secure (rate limiting, abuse prevention, audit trails);
- To answer support requests.
We do not sell your data, and we do not run advertising or third-party analytics trackers.
4. Where it is stored and for how long
- Account, roast and forum data: a MySQL database hosted on Alibaba Cloud RDS in mainland China.
- Application logs: on our server for 7 days, then deleted automatically.
- Web server access logs: on our server, rotated and deleted periodically.
- Soft-deleted forum content: retained (hidden from users) so that moderation decisions can be reviewed.
5. Who else is involved
- Alibaba Cloud — hosting (ECS) and managed database (RDS).
- Let's Encrypt — TLS certificates for this website.
- We disclose data only when legally required, or to protect the service and its users.
6. Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, export of, or deletion of your account and the content you created. Email us or ask a forum administrator; account deletion removes your profile, device bindings and (at your choice) your forum content. We aim to respond within 30 days.
7. Security
All app and website traffic uses HTTPS. Passwords are stored as salted PBKDF2 hashes; repeated failed logins temporarily lock the account; API writes are rate-limited and administrative actions are written to an audit log.
8. Storage on your own device
sessionStorage: your sign-in token for this browser tab session.localStorage: your language choice, a browser device identifier, and — only if you tick “Keep me signed in” — your sign-in token.- The desktop/mobile app stores its settings locally (Qt
QSettings) and keeps your roast files on your own disk unless you upload them.
9. Minors
The service is intended for professional and adult hobby use; it is not directed to children under 16.
10. Changes
If this policy changes materially we will update the date above and, for significant changes, post a notice in the forum.
